Wow, what a beautiful wedding with Laura and Mason I had the opportunity to photograph on the beach at Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay, Jamaica last night. Kerri Butler, owner of Touch of Bliss Events made sure everything went off without a hitch. I started out in the spa with the ladies and then got to catch Mason in action playing volley ball to get rid of some of his nervous energy. Laura and Mason literally tied the knot just minutes before the sun set behind the mountains that rim this island paradise. This lone palm tree created a wonderful back drop that just might make a great image for the cover of Destination I Do. Steel drums, Jamaican style, provided a melodious sound for the cocktail hour. Words just can’t describe the sights, so I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
Can you believe it? Jennifer Aniston and Sting were at the wedding I photographed last Saturday! Well, at least their look a likes were. Kelly looks so much like Jennifer that I accidentally called her Jennifer a couple times. JP, one of the groomsmen bears a strong resemblance to Sting. I’ll let you judge for yourself. Anyway, here are the highlights from their wedding at the DU Chapel and Mile High Station.
Sting and Jennifer Aniston?
This was the 2nd in back to back weddings. September 15th was just as beautiful as the day before. Sherise and Chriss had their wedding at the Park Hyatt out on their wedding terrace and the aspens were gorgeous! Peach Duty and the rest of the Hyatt staff did an outstanding job! Here are a few of my favorites of these two love birds
I’m a little behind in my blog postings so while I’m waiting for my ride to the airport to shoot a wedding in Jamaica I thought I’d better start catching up. Shana and Josh’s wedding (September 14th) was the first for me at the Vail Wedding Deck. They did away with the wooden deck and made it out of brick paving stone instead. It was a picture perfect day and we had a blast. The reception was at the Four Seasons Vail and Rebecca Steffen took great care of the couple. A Great Time DJ provided the music and they were fabulous as usual. Here are a few of my favorite images.
You can learn a lot about a couple when family give the toasts at a wedding. Take Sarah for example, her dad told all their guests about how determined she is and as a young 11 year old she had an astronomy class and she was so amazed that she decided to become an Astrophysicist. Well, you know how long THAT dream lasted. Sarah is now finishing up as a graduate student at MIT as an Astrophysicist! And Matt? He’s currently an Engineer and going back to school (also at MIT) to finish a Physics degree too! WOW, is all I could say. Their combined brain power is definitely off the charts.
Their wedding took place at the Beaver Creek Chapel and the reception was at SaddleRidge. Below are a few of my favorite images.
In late July we (my 2 grand kids and myself) finally took a couple of overnight camping and hiking trips into the mountains to get away and to spread Linda’s ashes in a few picturesque locations. Here are a few images from our trip.

The chipmunks were so used to people that you could feed them by hand and they’d even let you pet then. They seemed to enjoy it.
One of my favorite spots on the road leading out of Aspen to Independence Pass.
I’m a little behind in posting to my blog, but with running a business, cooking, cleaning, raising a 7 year old, all single handedly, I think I have enough legitimate excuses. But I digress. August 3rd marked the day that Rebecca and Nicholous said “I Do” at the Pavilion in Beaver Creek before a small group of friends and family. The weather held out just long enough for the ceremony and a few formal pictures afterwards before the rain came. Later, the gathering made it’s way to the Pavilion in Eagle Vail. Enjoy a few of my favorites.
Each year PetAid Animal Hospital holds a fund raiser called Mutts and Models to help care for pets whose owners don’t have the financial ability to cover their furry loved ones expenses. This is the second year in a row it was held at the Exdo Event Center and Three Tomatoes Catering provided the delicious food. Kirk Montgomery from 9 News was the Emcee and was he a hoot! There were more than a few local celbrities there that evening. Here are a few of my favorites. Woof!

Over the Memorial Day weekend the non-profit organization Concerts For Kids had a huge concert in Downtown Denver spread out over 5 different stages throughout the day. I was assigned to the main stage and the headline act was Toto, an immensely popular group from the 70’s through to this day. The first act was a local band called Go Home Joe and the keyboardist, Wes Box is getting married this November to Kelly Getting and I happen to be their photographer. Here are a few images from that beautiful day.

Denver Mayor Hancock was there too

Wow, I can’t believe how far behind I’ve gotten on my blog post, especially since I have photographed so many really cool events. Take Allison and Sal for example, she is not only an engineer but an athlete that competes in triathlons! Not only is she smart but strong too! Sal, she’s a keeper! They had a rehearsal party at E-Town in Edwards and the ceremony the next day at the beautiful Beaver Creek Chapel with the reception following in the Edelweiss room at the Vail Racquet Club. Here are a few highlights from their July 7th wedding.
