Keeping Up With David Ziser
Last week David Ziser called to see if I knew of anyone who could assist with a wedding he was photographing in Vail and I said I’d help. I’ve known David for about a dozen years and have enjoyed his contributions to the photographic industry. The wedding was at the Lodge at Vail, Dana with Bouquets did all the floral decor and a band associated with Funkifino provided the entertainment. For a guy that’s 62 I don’t know where he gets his energy from. By the end of the night I was beat and he was like the Energizer Bunny, still shooting and running around. And to think he is also in the middle of a 60 city educational tour.
Lunch with Joe Buissink
Joe Buissink was in Denver yesterday to speak to the Denver Pictage User Group (PUG). I picked him up at the airport and had lunch with him, Katie Van Buren and Jensen Sutta. We talked mostly about cars, family and of course, photography. Learned a lot from Joe and am looking forward to hanging out with him in New Orleans in November at the Pictage Partner Conference.
Twins
Yesterday I was at the Colorado Convention Center photographing hundreds of independent representatives for the annual Cambridge Investment Research conference and one of the employees asked if I could document her pregnancy. How could I resist! She is expecting twins in November and looks radiant, don’t you think?
Pictage Partner Con
I have been honored with the opportunity to speak at the annual Pictage Partner Conference in New Orleans November 3-5. The program is entitled “Perception is Reality” and focuses (no pun intended) on creating an incredible experience for your client like no other photographer can. For me it’s simply business as usual. I post a highlights slide show on my blog the same evening as the wedding, all images available online for viewing within a few days and the 1st draft of the album within a week. What most other photographers do in weeks and months I typically do in hours and days. There is much more that I do in this regard but you have to book me to see the other surprises!
Leslie and Andy
Leslie and Andy had their Shabbat this Friday at 4 Mile House and were surrounded by their close friends and family. Eveything went perfect, since Leslie is an event architect extraordinare and 1/2 of the partnership Affair With Flair. They are known for putting on some of Denver’s most lavish events. I can’t wait for the wedding on Sunday at the JW Marriott in Cherry Creek. Steve Crecelius of Wonderworks and I will be teaming up for this one.
