Linda has been battling Cancer and kidney disease for 3-1/2 years and this afternoon she finally lost the fight and passed away peacefully at home. The image above was taken by Karen Rubin, an incredible photographer we’ve known for many years, about 2 weeks after Linda was first diagnosed with Cancer and before she suffered the ravages of the disease and the treatments she endured.
Had a visitor in my back yard today. Actually we had 3 but by the time I got my camera ready 2 had already taken off.
Just got a call from our oldest grand daughter and she had her 2nd child about an hour ago. Zaiden was 6 lbs 4 oz and was 18 inches long. Check out this little guy!
For the first time in many years I didn’t have a wedding so it was nice to hang out with my 2 grand kids and do some simple, family things, like go to the park. Lauren loves the playground and Tyler is working on becoming the next Tony Hawk.
I have not posted in a while……because there has been nothing news worthy to blog about. Just the normal things, laundry, cooking, damage control with the little ones, you know, the daily stuff.
On a more positive note, Linda got a call from Rose Hospital today informing her the Hepatitis C test she got last week was negative. In March she had a medical procedure on her arm so they can do dialysis. It turns out that there was a surgical tech who was injecting herself with the pain medication that was for the patients and then using the same needle to give saline to the patient. She has Hepatitis C and has infected about 10 patients so far. Having fought cancer and dealing with kidney failure we were really relieved she didn’t get Hepatitis!
This morning I took a few hours to do something I don’t get a chance to do often and that’s SCUBA dive. Went out on a 2 tank dive with Stuart Cove. Saw sharks, sting rays, Lion Fish and a couple of wrecks.
