I had a great time getting to travel to Phoenix for the annual PPA convention with my grandson, Tyler, and working our booth with my other venture, Tafota. Below are a few images from that trip.

Profile of Tyler on our flight to Phoenix

While I was snoozing Tyler took this image looking out his window on our flight. I think he has a future as a photographer.

At the Phoenix Convention Center there was this giant mirror near the escalators that provided a neat backdrop. Tyler is the model.

We had quite a few friends stop by and say hello. From left to right are Jim Garner, his wife, Katarina Garner, Lori Nordstrom and Dan Pfeffer.

Lee and Helen Kendrick of Shutterbug Studios of Kentucky are one of Tafota’s clients and were kind enought to help in our booth. Afterwards we went out and had dinner together.

After the show was over it was time to relax over drinks before the trip home. From left to right are Darwin and Reggie Lloyd, LaDawn and David Ziser and myself. The image was taken by Tyler, the future photography superstar.
Bahamas Workshop
It’s official, I’ll be conducting a workshop in the Bahamas from April 21-23. This will be a real live wedding at a super incredible resort, Nygard Cay. We’ll travel from Atlantis resort to Nygard aboard their 82′ yacht! The day after the wedding we’ll do a fashion style workup and then go out and do an underwater Trash the Dress session! All meals will be included as well. This is going to be an amazing portfolio builder for 15 photographers. For more details go to Art and Inspiration
Diecidue Family Party

This evening I had the opportunity to photograph a party at the home of Richard and Rosalina Diecidue and it was fantastic! They brought in all kinds of entertainment for the kids and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy for the adults. They erected a tent in their back yard and had heaters to make it as cozy as a living room. Chateaux 10 Year Anniversary
10 years ago Pam and Bonnie opened the doors to a wedding and event facility in Broomfield called The Chateaux at Fox Meadows and it’s been a huge success. They celebrated that milestone with a wonderful party Friday night. Everyone was there, from caterers to bands, photographers to magazine publishers. I’d name them but there was so many I’d leave someone out for sure. I took a few images and created a slide show that you can see by clicking here.
Home at last
Linda came home yesterday after having surgery on Friday, October 31st to remove a malignant tumor in her colon. The pathology report came back excellent, showing no signs of malignancy in 17 of the lymph nodes removed and all the margins were clear. Now, all she has to do is survive my cooking until she is feeling well enough to kick me out of the kitchen. We really appreciate all the calls and letters wishing her a speedy recovery.
Escaping from New York
Last night there was a realy good rain storm in the New York area and apparently the Frontier jet we were to fly out on this morning took a lightning strike and was damaged causing a delay for our early morning departure back to Denver. It’s about 2:00 pm and the mechanics are still working on it and we’re enjoying the scenary of Concourse B at Laguardia. Everyone who has been stranded by this unfortunate circumstance is taking it in stride. Hopefully we won’t have to spend the night.
