Amber and Brandon

Keith and Freddie Templeton had me photograph their daughters wedding this evening at the Pinnicle Club that’s run by the Grand Hyatt.  I just love the view of the Denver skyline from the 38th floor at night!  A lot of ISES and MPI member were there too.  Below are just a few images.

Angelina and Allen

Angelina had been a friend of our family for years and has assisted me on numerous occasions when I have done commercial photography sessions.  Her wedding was in Colorado Springs so we just had to go to Garden of the Gods.  It was very overcast but the rains held back untill we were finished shooting.  My grandson, Tyler came along to help and a couple of the images in the slide show are his.  He definitely has a career awaiting him in the photography field.  To see their slide show click here.

Change on Pictage

Pictage put the staircase image (shown below) up as a test but changed it after only a few hours because Bob Davis had a staircase image on their home page that was similar.  Instead they put up this one of Stephanie, the bride I photographed only a few days ago.

Pictage Home Page

One of my favorite images I photographed 2 years ago caught the attention of Pictage and they have put it on their home page in rotation with images from some of the biggest names in our industry.  Go there and keep refreshing until it appears.  Hopefully I’ll have more in the future.  For now I’ll savor the moment.

Stephanie and Eric

Stephanie is an RN and Eric is an architect but from the looks of their wedding you’d have thought they were rock stars!  What a fun couple.  As usual, the Grand Hyatt did a spectacular job.  Monday they head off to Hawaii for a 2 week honeymoon.  See their highlights slide show by clicking here.  Check back on Tuesday to see all of their images on Pictage.

New Camera

Yesterday I received my brand spankin’ new Canon 50D from Dury’s Camera.  They arrived on Tuesday so I had mine sent UPS 2nd Day Air so I could get familiar with it before my Saturday wedding.  I would post a couple images but they are of my cluttered desk (we have been getting the carpets cleaned so that’s my excuse) and I don’t want to embaress myself.  I can tell you that in the small Raw (7.1 mega pixel) setting an image taken at 3,200 ISO has very little noise, perhaps less than my 20D did at 800 ISO.  Even the 6,400 ISO images were good!  Check back on Sunday morning to see the results of Stephanie and Eric’s wedding.

Cancer Update

Many of our friends and associates have been aware of Linda’s fight with Colon Cancer.  She finished her radiation treatment (28 sessions in all) on Wednesday (Sept 24th) and is holding up pretty well. She will have surgery in November and that should be the end of it.  It amazes me on how far the medical community has come in combating this dreaded disease in all forms.  It seems like just yesterday when the word Cancer and survival could not be used in the same sentence.  Now we see many survivor stories.  Still, early detection is critical in beating it.  Go, get a thorough check up, if not for yourself then do it for those who love you.

Lutron Excellence Awards

Lutron was in town again this week with the CEDIA Convention and I was there to photograph their 5th Annual Excellence Awards event at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.  They had the IMAX Theaters showing a couple of recent films and the Gates Planetarium was open too.  Highlights can be seen by Clicking Here.

DNC Party

It’s been quite a week!  Following a financial literacy meeting and then a shoot with MSNBC there was Google and Vanity Fair.  They teamed up to produce “THE” party of the year following the DNC at the Exdo Event Center.  It was an absolute A list of star studded celebrities and politicians that made you think you were in Hollywood.  Unfortunately I am unable to post more images due to privacy concerns.
