Next May I’ll be conducting a wedding photography workshop (www.artandinspiration.com) in Cancun Mexico at a very cool beach house on Isla Mujeres and Whitney and Mark will be the subject matter. They came over this evening on their way to fly out of DIA to Wisconsin to visit family and we did a simple engagement session and to finally meet. They attended Danielle and Ben’s wedding 3 years ago that I photographed and have volunteered to be my next workshop couple. They are uber excited about their wedding and having 8 photographers documenting it. This is going to be great!

Less than 3 weeks before I go to New Orleans to speak at the annual Pictage Partner Conference. I’m really excited about learning and sharing at this convention and to sample some of that famous cuisine in the heart of the French Quarter. Details about Partner Con can be found by going to http://pro.pictage.com/community/ppc/neworleans/index.shtml

Wow, what a wedding! Elizabeth and Raffaello, better known to his friends as Fello, are a really exuberant couple. They went to the same college but didn’t meet until after they graduated and it was love at first sight. Everything took place at the Brown Palace and the music was provided by Fever and they got the crowd hopping! They are headed to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos for the honeymoon. I can’t wait to see their pictures when they return. If you want to see what you missed, just click here.

Last week I was in Beverly Hills photographing a few mansions for an island and villa rental company and had a chance to stop by Pictage and visit a few friends there and see their operations. Scott Anderson, their Marketing Communications Manager is also a photographer and he took an image of me posing by a framed wedding print they have on their wall along with a plaque to help their staff connect with the photographers they serve. It’s truly humbling when someone other than your client really enjoys your images.

Ron and Cathy were married yesterday at Our Lady of Loretto and i had the priviledge of documenting it. They looked more like 40 something newlyweds rather than 70 something. Reception was at the Heritage Eagle Bend. To see their slide show click here.

Marta Kozlowska from the Grand Hyatt tied the knot with Kirk Russell at the St Francis Cabrini Catholic Church last night and David Matherne and myself covered the event. Their reception was at the Robins Nest on top of Lookout Mountain where the views are spectacular! To see the highlights from their wedding click here.

I just got an email from Scott Anderson with Pictage informing me they posted one of my images on their blog. It’s one of the images I took during a workshop I conducted in the Bahamas in April.

Last week David Ziser called to see if I knew of anyone who could assist with a wedding he was photographing in Vail and I said I’d help. I’ve known David for about a dozen years and have enjoyed his contributions to the photographic industry. The wedding was at the Lodge at Vail, Dana with Bouquets did all the floral decor and a band associated with Funkifino provided the entertainment. For a guy that’s 62 I don’t know where he gets his energy from. By the end of the night I was beat and he was like the Energizer Bunny, still shooting and running around. And to think he is also in the middle of a 60 city educational tour.

Joe Buissink was in Denver yesterday to speak to the Denver Pictage User Group (PUG). I picked him up at the airport and had lunch with him, Katie Van Buren and Jensen Sutta. We talked mostly about cars, family and of course, photography. Learned a lot from Joe and am looking forward to hanging out with him in New Orleans in November at the Pictage Partner Conference.

Yesterday I was at the Colorado Convention Center photographing hundreds of independent representatives for the annual Cambridge Investment Research conference and one of the employees asked if I could document her pregnancy. How could I resist! She is expecting twins in November and looks radiant, don’t you think?
